We have come a long way since the days of military campaigns that encouraged soldiers to 'Light up, its good for you'. We are all very aware of the inherent health risks of sparking up our favourite tobacco smoothie. But....I just could not resist sharing these amazingly enigmatic, whilst also shocking adverts from Marlboro (everybodys favourite). Every image here is from a genuine magazine or billboard advert circa 1955...They really did think that the dreaded death plant would make us cool, healthy, and ultimately more successful..but lets be honest, the guy in the frogsuit is possibly the coolest smoker I have EVER seen.
